How To Use Compounds Properly
1. To begin, add a small amount of compound on the pad versus the side of the boat. That keeps the compound moist not allowing it to dry out. This ensures it spreads more evenly while in use.
2. Place your buffer on the surface of your boat and once in contact turn your buffer on and polish vertically first and then horizontally second Be sure to alternate back and forth to cover roughly a two foot by two foot section.
3. In less than 60 seconds, you will have cleaned the surface and hull of your boat back to a stunning, wet-look finish.
Necessary Tools
You can use a random orbital buffer, rotary buffer or even a handheld buffer/polisher which can be picked up at any home center or retail store. ProMAXX Marine recommends 3,000/3,500 RPM.
